President Muhammadu Buhari is assuring Nigerians that next year will herald the benefits of economic structure, put in place to get Nigeria out of economic doldrums.
The President in his Eid-El-Maulud message, said that 2017 budget proposals which he will present to the National Assembly this Wednesday “will contain measures that we are confident will get the Nation out of its economic woods.”
He called on Nigerians to use this celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), as a time to pause and reflect on the ideals the Prophet represented which are: “peace living, tolerance, sobriety, generosity, sacrifice, and honesty, and wisdom.”
He urged Nigerians not to lose faith but rather, know that the current challenges are being surmounted through efforts at “curbing terrorism, militancy, corruption and other crimes that devalue our humanity.”
President Buhari further said there is need for a collective struggle to stay united against all odds and work towards “building the country of our dreams.”
