President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to be more vigilant and report any suspicious activity, following the twin bomb blasts in Madagali, that killed several people and injured so many more.
Buhari described the attack which happened on Friday, as desperate saying that the Nigerian Army will defeat “the evil that is Boko Haram.”
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu, the President commiserates with families of victims of the bomb blasts and the government and people of Adamawa.
He said:” putting an end to this senseless loss of innocent lives remain a top priority of this administration.
“over the past few weeks, the Nigerian military have made significant advancements in an offensive aimed at slamming the final nail in the coffin of Boko Haram.”
He said the army “will neither be distracted nor relent” and urged Nigerians to report suspicious activities to the nearest security and law enforcement agency.
The President said the battle against terrorism is one that requires joint efforts by all citizens, adding that it is only through that that the deadly terrorist group can be defeated.
