Nigeria Counts Achievements as it Marks International Civil Aviation Day

The Federal Government says priority attention is being given to the aviation sector in recognition of its potentials to contribute to the growth of the economy.
Speaking in a statement to mark the International Day for Civil Aviation,  signed by the Deputy Director press for aviation, the Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika reiterated governments commitment to improving the aviation sector via concessioning.

The Minister further said Nigeria is already working in line with this year’s theme which is:”Working together to ensure no country is left behind”, citing the Banjul accord and other bilateral arrangements as example.
Sirika said the re-election of Dr.Bernard Aliu as the International Civil Aviation Organization( ICAO) chairman; the Aviation Development Bank  and the Aerospace University  take off soon in Nigeria is proof that Nigeria has gained global recognition in aviation.
The 7th of December each year has been set aside as International Civil aviation day by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
