School of the deaf Bassa, school of the blind Gindri receives UNICEF donations

It was an emotional moment as the blind and deaf in appreciation to the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) sang songs in gratitude of donations made to them by UNICEF.

The Monitoring Unit of UNICEF donated food stuff to the school of the blind in Gindri, Agatha Bot, Coordinator of the UNICEF – Office of the Secretary to the State Government, donated food stuff comprising of bags of rice, gallons of palm oil, vegetable oil and cartons of seasoning cubes.

In like manner, School of the Deaf in Bassa also received same donations by the Monitoring Unit of the UNICEF through the coordinator, Agatha Bot, who spoke saying that: ’’blindness and deafness are no limitations to any meaningful achievement in life.”

She said the donations were made possible following the payment of counterpart funds by the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong.
