Minister of Information and Communication Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment on making the digitalization process launch a successful operation on the Plateau, as he speaks on the government pro-active design and provision to encourage participation.

The Minister who made this known today during an interview with PRTV said his mission to Jos is significant, because of the monitoring of the sector boxes distribution for the ongoing digitalization in the country.

Appraising the level of work done, Lai Mohammed said so far, there has been a successful turn-out of the sector distribution this year.

The Minister said during his recent meeting with stakeholders, channel owners and network manufacturers, on how far the experiment had gone; encouraged them to fast track their partnership to enhance service and productivity.

The Minister further laid emphasis on broadcasting challenges, stressing the need for massive contents creation, signal spread, engineering challenges and funding: he elaborated on the provision of complete studios for States and media channels funding.

Lai Mohammed furthermore, encouraged the public to embrace the distributions of sector boxes and match to digitization process in Nigeria, “because it’s free.”
