FG intensifies effort to repatriate stolen funds hidden in foreign countries

PRES BU LADANPresident Muhammdu Buhari says his administration’s decision to talk less about the actions of alleged treasury looters was to forestall likely legal technicalities that could hinder subsequent trials.

President Buhari who said this on Monday When he hosted members of the State house press corp at the presidential Villa,Abuja, noted that Government is working tiredslesdly to ensure that all funds stolen from Nigeria and stashed in foreign accounts abroad are recovered.

He said government is engaging foreign nations and other relevant agencies to ensure speedy repatriation of the stolen funds.

President Buhari  commended Former president Jonathan for conceding defeat after the March 28, 2015 Presidential election,describing the gesture as an act of patriotism and generosity.

Chairman of the state House Press Corp Kehinde Amodu thanked the president for hosting the media assuring him of more  support by the Journalists covering the state house.
