President Buhari tell Nigerians in London that NNPC and Ministry of Defence will not evade probe

Mohammadu Buhari President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

President Mohammadu Buhari says his administration has mopped up 2.2 trillion Naira, through the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) from December to end of January,  from dubious accounts used to perpetrate acts of corruption.

The President said 120 of such accounts were discovered in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Ministry of Defence, which his administration is yet to probe.

He expressed worry that a country of about 170 million people ravaged by illiteracy and poverty cannot continue to live that way.
